Center for Healthcare Finance Information

       PROVIDING INSIGHT AND UNDERSTANDING

ABOUT US

The Center for Healthcare Finance Information was created by Stephen E. Weinberg, MD FACC. He is a board certified Cardiologist and has been a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology since 1978. His practice has been located in Southern New Jersey since 1978 where he is a partner in a 25 person Cardiology group. He practices invasive and non-invasive cardiology and began performing coronary angioplasty in 1980. As a faculty member of two medical schools in the Delaware Valley, he has taught students and residents on a regular basis for over 28 years. As Managing Partner of his group for twelve years, he was intimately involved with the all of the financial aspects of his practice. He has negotiated with and consulted for several of the large national and regional insurance companies regarding patient care and financial matters. Over the past 25 years, he has been asked to provide numerous lecture engagements to national, state, and regional organizations and has been the plenary speaker at several national meetings. He has also been a lecturer in the Wharton Graduate MBA program.

Witnessing the ever-increasing costs of health insurance and out-of-pocket expenditures of his patients, Dr. Weinberg has become greatly concerned for their welfare. He started this organization to bring together important information so that all of us can become knowledgeable about healthcare financing. By doing this, we should be able to ask probing and insightful questions of our elected officials which will hopefully bring about real change in the manner in which we pay for healthcare and ultimately create a better system which is more efficient, safe, and affordable for all Americans. Dr. Weinberg feels that the only realistic way we can change the existing system is to have in-depth knowledge and use it appropriately to demand change.

He is available as as speaker and lecturer for both large and small groups in an effort to heighten the awareness of governmental officials and the general public regarding the serious problems we face in financing the healthcare system of the United States and to offer solutions.
